Frequently Asked Questions

The world of Nutrition Coaching and Health in general can be somewhat overwhelming. Here are a few answers to the questions I get asked most often.

What is Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching?

You know when well-meaning Doctors and Specialists tell you to “eat healthier,” but often fail to explain exactly how to do that? Or, when you’ve discovered that you have a health concern and you’d like to do everything you possibly can to address it? Or perhaps you’re just looking to understand food and meal planning better but you have no idea where to start.

Or, maybe you’ve just learned that you or a loved one has a food sensitivity or allergy and now you must re-learn everything you once knew about cooking and meal preparation.

Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching bridges the gap between the idea of a healthy lifestyle and the real-life steps it takes to get there.

We take a close look at your day-to-day lifestyle to uncover free time and stolen moments for you to put back into you — allowing you to focus on your health and well-being without feeling completely overwhelmed.

I don't want to be shamed about my current lifestyle, I'm just looking for a few pointers...

This is a big one. Many health care practitioners can be so passionate about health that they sometimes forget they’re talking to a living, breathing human being who has done their very best and is now looking for compassionate guidance, rather than aggressive restrictions and diets. While I am certainly passionate about health, my goal is always to meet you right where you are. Even if that’s creating meal plans with healthier meal choices at your favourite restaurants and fast-food joints. My goal is always to educate and empower rather than to shame and overwhelm.

After speaking with a number of people about their views on Nutritionists, I have learned that this is a very real sticking point. Something that causes a lot of friction for many people and so I wanted to come right out and address the elephant in the room.

Where are you located?

In the GTA, Ontario. My virtual 1:1 consultations are offered internationally throughout North America.

How Do I Sign Up?

If you’re a new client, it is recommended that you first book a FREE Consultation Call where we can discuss, in detail, your health goals and lifestyle needs. From there you can choose one of 3 coaching packages, depending on the level of transformation you’re seeking. All booking is done through my online scheduler. After booking, you will receive a welcome email with a contract, a questionnaire, and an outline of what you can expect from our time together. In addition to those housekeeping pieces, I will also provide you with a link to your personal information hub where you will have access to e-books and educational tools as part of the Nutrition and Lifestyle Protocols.

What Makes The Well Collective Different From Most Nutrition Coaches?

Aptly named The Well Collective I have created this space as a collection of my experiences after almost 20 years in the skincare, health, and wellness industry. In that time I have seen others’ lives through many lenses. The busy CEO working a corporate job who’s lucky if she has time to eat, let alone read a label. The exhausted Moms to Littles dealing with picky eaters, isolation, adrenal fatigue, and an identity crisis. The independent women focused on leaving their mark in the world, often too busy to remember to shift some of that focus back on themselves from time to time. The Cancer Warrior who is bone-tired but still fighting each and every day. The ones who know deep down what they need they just don’t know how to make the space for it.

Wherever life has taken you, one thing unifies us all, and that is that our bodies are the vessels responsible for keeping us afloat on this journey.

The Well Collective is more than just a place for Nutrition advice. This is a place that focuses on the well-being of the entire vessel, from the social and emotional struggles that can have as much of an impact on the health of the liver as an alcoholic beverage; to the real-life needs that make actually preparing healthy meals virtually impossible (extra-curriculars, board meetings, adrenal-fatigue, chronic pain — I’m looking at you.)

By now, we’ve all heard of the financial budget and the impact it can have on our financial well-being (whether we use one or not), but what about The Life Budget™?

The Well Collective is a space where you can reconnect with yourself via nutrition and gaining a deeper understanding of your body, the vessel. By understanding its needs you are better able to steward your life towards success and happiness. Eudaemonia if you will.

So if you’re just getting started in the world of holistic health and wellness, or you’ve got plenty of experience but have always felt that you’ve come up short with results, I want to welcome you to The Well Collective and invite you to consider a fresh, new perspective on Holistic Nutrition and all that it can do for you.

The doctor of the future will give no medication but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease”—Thomas A. Edison (1847-1931)”
